On Tuesday 13 October 2026, Mobiday 2026 takes place at Tech Lane Ghent Science Park – Campus Ardoyen, and it is explicitly a day for everyone on the park: employees of the companies on site as well as UGent staff are welcome at all activities.
Anyone cycling in that day gets a free breakfast at the parvis (coffee, an apple, a croissant or a chocolate roll, while supplies last) and a shot at a set of Ortlieb bicycle bags — all you need to do is post a selfie with your helmet on, at a recognisable spot on campus, to LinkedIn with #Mobiday2026 and #Tech Lane Ghent Science Park.
At that same parvis, the test stand runs from 10:00 to 16:00, where you can try out new (electric) bikes and find out more about UGent's bicycle lease plan and how such a plan could work for your company. This try out is also open to companies!
In the run-up to Mobiday, companies on the park also compete in the Company Cup, a Strava-based challenge scored on their employees' commuting trips; the winner is announced before 13 October and carries the title "Most bike-friendly company 2026" for a year, trophy and façade panel included!
Finally, the day marks the launch of the new WhatsApp community and cycling club, starting in spring 2027 and open to anyone working at Campus Ardoyen or Eiland Zwijnaarde.
